This is more important than re-election
I blogged back in the late 90s, mainly the typical livejournal lonely hearts club teenager/twenty-something garbage that makes most of us want to gouge our eyes out with shards of broken Britney Spears CDs. Hey, call it teenage angst.
I’ve also written content for the web and curated sites personal and professional but I have generally avoided the echo chamber and juvenile spitting/pissing contest that is the blog-o-sphere.
But the more I’ve engaged with people publicly, the more I am told I should be writing my thoughts down, so I dont have to regurgutate the same thought over and over again for to progress the conversation. This, of course, runs contrarty to my belief that most of the bloggers I have met, with notibly few exceptions, are vapid adle minded pundits and micro fame seekers.
So with hesitation I am putting up this site for long form thoughts for things I think and believe to be true, and I hope occasionally you will indulge me in the long winded rathole or object fetish. As with all of the software I write, I offer no warranty of any kind, so your milage may very.
You can call it a blog, if you like. I am thinking of it more as my mental lab notebook.
The title for this comes from a quote from my favorite television series, The West Wing, written by Aaron Sorkin:
Leo McGarry: Say it out loud. Say it to me.
President Josiah Bartlet: This is more important than
re-election. I want to speak now.
Leo McGarry: Say it again.
President Josiah Bartlet: This is more important than
re-election. I want to speak now.
Leo McGarry: Now we're in business.
